‘Grandparents are the world’, take good care of the elderly

At the festival, there are many areas and free care activities for the elderly. Those who attend, if in need, will be consulted about common diseases in the elderly, advice on stroke and dementia prevention, advice on nutrition and appropriate exercise for the elderly.

Attendees can also choose massage, acupuncture, acupressure, and other oriental medicine solutions to support treatment and help the elderly and stroke victims quickly recover their functions as well as minimize sequelae.

In addition, the Senior Citizens’ Day also has a health care consultation program from leading doctors and experts in Vietnam to share and answer questions about the health of the elderly.

Attending the festival, Ms. Pham Thi Dung (78 years old, residing in District 7, Ho Chi Minh City) shared that she was invited here and felt very happy to receive free acupressure and massage.

Her fitness group of more than ten people took a taxi to attend this festival. “Although I am old, my friends and I always create joy for ourselves. We go to the gym at 5 am, then drink coffee together…”.

According to the organizers, this event will contribute to raising awareness about caring for the elderly, improving knowledge about physical and mental health so that parents and grandparents can always live a peaceful and fulfilling life.

The organizers also called on families to “take care of their beloved grandparents while they are still healthy”.
